Each book that finds its way into the world has to rely on the kindness of strangers, and they are called booksellers.  In the more than five hundred readings and signings I've done since This House of Sky was featured in their stores in 1978, they've been indeed kind to me and my literary brood.

One of the advantages of on-line is that I'll now be able to post here my schedule of bookstore appearances for my next book (don't push; but it is more than halfway done), making it easier for you to obtain signed or personally inscribed copies.

Another is that in the meantime, the American Booksellers' website at http://www.BookSense.com gives you a good quick route to obtaining any of my existing books or audiotapes at the bookstore most convenient to you. Simply do one of the following:

  • enter the title of the work of mine you're seeking in their TITLE box
  • or scroll down to AUTHOR and enter my name

...and BookSense will list the nearest bookstore that has the item; it provides the store's address, phone number and/or website address.
